Load "National Prepaid Meters" as a beneficiary on your banking site only if you bank with Absa, Standard Bank, FNB, Nedbank or Capitec.
Do an EFT for the amount you wish to spend on water/electricity (minimum R20)(service fee of 9.9% plus vat is included in transactions).
ONLY USE the 11 or 13 digit meter number as the reference. NO spaces/gaps/words.
The token will be sent to you via SMS to the cell phone number you entered on the submission form.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
This vend direct system is only active after 24 hours of the installation of the meter.
If you use an incorrect reference number or transact with an amount less than R20, your token will not be processed and there is NO refund. If you do not receive the token via SMS after 10 minutes, turn your phone off and on again to reboot.
ONLY the following banks are supported and can be used to purchase electricity/water tokens: DO NOT do an "instant payment/ immediate clear" payment from another bank to these accounts. The payment must be from the same bank to bank.

There is an institutional fee of R1-85 per transaction which is included in your purchase.
Banks and networks have delay issues at times which are out of our control. Generally tokens are sent to you within a few minutes from your purchase; however allow up to 2/3 hours to receive your token. If you have not received your token after this time, please send an e mail to: info@nationalprepaid.co.za along with your meter number, proof of token purchased and query.
